Neerigen Brook Primary School is now in its second year of the Musica Viva Residency, a transformative music program that has enriched student learning and engagement. Over the past 12 months, students have participated in weekly music lessons with our dedicated music specialist, Miss Mees, developing their skills across multiple instruments and immersing themselves in the world of rhythm, melody, and musical expression.
The program has also fostered a strong performance culture, leading to the formation of both a school choir and band, which have showcased their talents at regular performances and festivals.
Notably, student attendance has increased on Musica Viva days, and classroom engagement during lessons has been outstanding. The program has not only built musical proficiency but has also strengthened students’ confidence, teamwork, and enthusiasm for learning.
Neerigen Brook Primary School is proud to be part of this exceptional residency, which continues to inspire and empower our students through the power of music.
