Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive prior learning credits for a Master’s Degree on completion of this course?

Yes! Prior learning credits are given for this course at Western University and Charles Sturt University. WAPPA is now in the final stages of emulating this at Edith Cowan University. Students who complete Module 1-12 (7-12 coming soon) can receive credit points equivalent to “half Master’s”.

What is the best way to complete the course, so I gain maximum impact?

WAPPA recommends that participants register for six modules and complete the course over a 12-month period.

I want to enrol in the full program but am unavailable for one of the set dates – What are my options?

If you can’t attend on one of the dates, you can complete that module when it is offered in the next cycle, or you can register to complete the module online in an international class, with an international facilitator.

What does the hybrid version of the program include?

Each module of the hybrid version is delivered at WAPPA and then online. The onsite component is one full day, 8.30am – 4.30pm. This is followed by 5 hours online over the following two weeks – A total of 13 hours per module.

Do I have to complete the modules in a specific order?

No. You can register for one module at a time and can complete them in any order except for module six. Modules 1-5 are a prerequisite for module six.

Can I complete the whole course online?

Yes.

How long does the online version of a module take to complete?

Each online module takes about 15-18 hours to complete and is delivered over a 5-week period.

Why are the Modules only offered on a non-school day?

Based on our members feedback, the modules are offered outside of school hours to reduce the cost to schools having to replace staff saving schools over $2500.

Can WAPPA tailor this course for my school, network, or collegiate group?

Yes. Please contact WAPPA so we can discuss your specific needs.
