The Trajectory Series with Dr Paul Swan

The trajectory series is directly related to whole school numeracy planning. The modules are designed to get phases of schooling on the same page regarding whole school teaching strategies.

We recommend you send your leadership team, maths co coordinators or lead teachers from each phase of your school to these sessions.

Trajectory Session One: Counting

This 2 hour workshop looks at the development of counting. In particular 5 counting principles and core counting strategies. Dr Paul will explain and give practical examples of what this looks like in the classroom.

Trajectory Session Two: Addition and Subtraction /Multiplication and Division

This 2 hour workshop looks at the development of addition and subtraction. In particular mental strategies and whole school teaching strategies like arrays. Dr Paul will explain and give practical examples of what this looks like in the classroom.

Trajectories Session Three: Place Value and Fractions

This 2 hour workshop looks at the development of place value. In particular wholes school resources and strategies to effectively teach Place Value across the school. Dr Paul will explain and give practical examples of what this looks like in the classroom.
