Brightpath Introduction

Brightpath is based on over a decade of pioneering research at the University of Western Australia. Brightpath aim to support teachers to use professional judgments to make high-quality assessments in a range of learning domains. Brightpath's vision is to support teachers to make high-quality assessments in all learning areas in the coming years.

The Brightpath software records the results of assessments and reports a range of formative and summative information to teachers and principals. This provides an informed basis for developing teaching programs targeting the needs of individual students.

This workshop will provide school leaders with an understanding of how to:

• Lead staff in the use of the Brightpath tools and resources.
• Plan assessments.
• Make reliable judgments.
• Check comparability of judgments across year levels.
• Interpret Brightpath assessment data.
