Shaping the future of education through effective, progressive leadership.
The Western Australian Primary Principals’ Association (WAPPA) is the professional Association of choice for experienced and aspiring leaders of primary school education across Western Australia. WAPPA provides member support, advocacy, leadership development and recognition to over 1,150 members.
WAPPA strives for the sustainable enhancement of primary education in WA, where we can impact and influence educational outcomes and strengthen school leadership.
As a not-for-profit association, WAPPA strongly values relationships with members, business partners and stakeholders.
We empower quality leadership through supported and connected leaders. We support and advocate for our members’ needs, providing growth and engagement opportunities.

We build trust by acting honestly, fairly and respectfully at all times. We operate in an environment of transparency and accountability.

We foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, and hold our Association to the highest of expectations. We imagine what is possible and innovate the change to achieve it.

We show open-mindedness and kindness, because we value the needs, safety, health and wellbeing of our members and Association's stakeholders.

We embrace diversity and create an environment where everyone is recognised, valued and respected.
Our aim is to be the Professional Association of Choice for Primary School Leaders across WA.
We aim to be the influential voice and respected authority for public education, providing strategies for school leadership and advocacy for the profession, by the profession.
Everything we do is grounded in four strategic pillars. These pillars reflect our commitment to support, advocacy, leadership, and connection, ensuring our work remains focused on what matters most to our members.
